I will betroth you to me forever;
I will betroth you in
righteousness
and
justice,
in
love
and
compassion.
I will betroth you in faithfulness,
and you will acknowledge the LORD.

a voice for silent children

O LORD, how have I been ignorant?
Forgive my callous heart

and may I have compassion.

No to sympathy, No to empathy

and Yes to action.

Yes to prayer and to enlightment.

Give me the words to say

and perseverance

and persistence

and passion.

Above all passion

for these little ones.

God, dear God!

Please break this cycle.

Cycle of violence.

Generations to come are ruined

now jaded by blood.

They have bathed in it

and see no other way.

Peace, peace for the little ones.
